New Years Recap

New Years Eve I worked at Fado for the second year in a row and it was a great time. I had great friends around me and plenty to entertain me. Despite the fun it was pretty obvious who was missing. Her presence last NYE was infectious and you could see her absence in our faces. I don't think it was a coincidence that I kept thinking I saw her around the city the day before, I don't think it was a coincidence that i smelled her perfume that night. I know she is still with us even though it's really hard to remember that she is gone, I still kinda expect her to come back. Even though this New Years was oddly quiet without our friend we tried our best to make it festive with sequins, glitter, fake fur, of course cupcake, and I may or may not have poured several glasses of champagne on the floor in honor of our dear friend. Wishing you all the happiest of New Years, especially my Fado family.
